Looking for midweek SF place to chill during the day with glass of wine maybe something to eat in or outdoor

I often find myself looking for a casual place to relax read a book and have a glass of wine just looking for suggestions like the idea of outdoors on a nice sunny day. Any thoughts>

thanks for the info thus far i should have said looking for something not too busy more of a neighborhood type place like the place on the corner of fillmore just south of haight across from the thai restaurant or the place on polk and jackson across from lobardis sports or on polk in russian hill the old le robert space or the place at hyde and washington unfortunately i dont recall any of the names just see them in passing Arlequin sounds like it might be closest sorry for not being more specific.

That place south of haight is Cafe du Soleil. I like that place and Arlequin is somewhat similar. I lived equidistant to those and it was always a tossup as to which I would go to.

Reverie is a good neighborhood spot in Cole Valley that is very like Arlequin (maybe a little less sceney than Hayes Valley IMHO.) You can have a glass of wine, light food, or just a cup of coffee, indoors or outside in their back garden. It's perfect on a sunny day. The salads are all good - especially the 'ahi tuna and the fennel/walnut/blue cheese.

Also, the Grove on Fillmore is good when the weather isn't so great, though it can get a little crowded....

For the place on Hyde St - do you mean Nook, at Hyde and Jackson? Cute little coffee shop/cafe, also friendly to 'campers', very sweet employees, good brunch and also serves wine and beer....

Cafe du Soleil is, I think, owned by the Bay Bread/La Boulange folks. I love the vibe there. Sunny, relaxed, yummy pastries, nice wines by the glass...

Waterbar near the Bay Bridge has a nice outdoor seating area, right on the Embarcadero. It's a pleasant place to look out at the bay and the bridge while enjoying a glass of wine.

oysters and a gimlet at zuni, outdoors, is a decent way to read the financial times. i like the people watching/food/drinks. you pretty much own the table so there's no rush.

market street is not too frantic up by zuni. the outside tables and chairs are comfortable and service is, well, roman in it's pace. wines are decent. i like it. pet a few doggies if you get a chance since they are used to owners who like a slow lunch, outdoors, at zuni, too.
