Where to go for Rosh hashanah and Yom Kippur meals aka Jewish New Year

Does anyone know what restaurants are having Rosh Hashanah themed meals. I know Firefly usually does something but where else?

  1. I would call and check on Firefly on 24th St. in Noe Valley. I didn't see anything on their website, but they seem to have meals celebrating various Jewish holidays on a regular basis.

    1. re: jillyju

Firefly has a Rosh Hashana menu up now.

    2. Perbacco prepared a Seder this year, perhaps they are doing something for Rosh Hashana as well. Yom Kippur meal is a contradiction, no?

No. Traditionally you would have a meal to "break the fast" after sundown.

      2. I would check with Kitchen Table in Mountain View.

If you want to take things home, there is Saul's in Berkeley

First, I am not Jewish. However, I'm Polish and some of the Jewish dishes are really similar. For all the criticisim of Saul's ... and I've joined in on that .. they do holidays well. Here's their menu.

Is "clean" supposed to mean Kosher or is that some down home way to describe chemical free?

              1. re: sugartoof

I have no idea, but Saul's is not kosher.
