Tacoma Convention and Trade Center
A deskbound Seattleite, I don't know much of Tacoma, but plan to meet some colleagues for lunch and/or cocktails later at a conference in the Tacoma Convention and Trade Center, so I'm looking for ideas. It's a business-casual sort of crowd, with some tame eaters and others more adventurous but all flexible enough. TIA

mrnelso, Indochine--PanAsian food--is within easy walking distance of the Convention Center. The Swiss Tavern offers good pub food in an early 1900's atmosphere and is also close by. You can also take the free streetcar north to Ravenous (Italian) or Merende` (Italian-European) just a few blocks away. Avoid the Harmon Brewpub whose kitchen seems to be a Sysco outlet.
