Your favorite place(s) at Jiyugaoka?
Have one free day in Tokyo. Plan to go to Jiyugaoka and have lunch + afternoon tea there.
Any recommended for food and cake? All look sooooooooooooo good.
And how do you find it compared to Daikanyama, Kijijoji, Shimokitazawa?
Thankssssss....

What a coincidence! I was just looking for Jiyugaoka spots myself. Hardly ever venture out there but I was considering checking out this place. Looks quite cute:

A good option for cake would be to visit the Sweets Forest, a building with eight different dessert shops. The framboise souffle I had at Le Souffle a few years back was excellent.

Kosoan might be fun for afternoon tea; it's inside a traditional Japanese garden. It's pretty hard to find, so print out a map. http://kosoan.co.jp/
Le Temps wine bar looks promising for lunch, but I haven't been there myself. Idee Cafe and Lobros are good for either lunch or afternoon tea. You can find details and more ideas here: http://www.bento.com/searchg.php?q=ji...
The town is not quite as densely populated as Daikanyama, etc., but there are a lot of nice shops and places to eat.

re: Robb S
The easier way is from Shibuya station, take the Tokyu Toyoko Line to Jiyugaoka. On the station Oyamadai, from Tokyu Oimachi Line, there is a very good and famous patisserie refered as `Au Bon vieux temps’ : savarin, chocolat-coriander, … A nice adult sweet break.
In Jiyugaoka, there is many Italian restaurants also... I can`t recommend it. I had a really expensive pizza on one.
