Suggestions for which bakery in the area has the best honeycake for a good sweet year?

    1. Boston is not that strong on Jewish bakeries. You've basically got Kupel's and Rosenfeld's. Both have their strengths.

        1. Give Cheryl Ann's in Chestnut Hill a call. Best known for their (not to everyone's taste) challah but they have most other traditional Jewish baked goods too- and I think they're great. Very close to Newton. Call ahead- it will be crazy over there.

            1. Clear Flour Bread in Brookline is doing a honey cake for Rosh Hashanah.

                  And it is insanely good. Imagine the best poundcake you've ever had in your entire life, topped with honey and slivered almonds.
