PYO Apple Orchards That Allow Dogs?

Does anyone know of any orchards in the area that allow you to bring dogs? The only one I've been able to find so far is Rock Hill. Most of the websites I've looked at either don't say anything about dogs or say you aren't allowed to bring them.

    1. Every year we bring both dogs with us to Catoctin Mountain Orchard in Thurmont. Not sure if they have pick your own though. It actually never occurred to me that dogs wouldn't be allowed at an orchard.

Dogs aren't allowed at Larriland because they have their own dogs working in the fields, at least according to the signs posted there. (It might have something to do with customers not cleaning up after their pets.)

I met a couple of the dogs hanging out near the black raspberry patch this year. Lovely animals, but not really pets. I can see where those dogs would not like strange dogs in their territory.

      2. Looks like my previous reply was posted, let me repeat just the substance part: We've brought our dog along for the fun at Hartland Orchard in Markham, Va. Last time was 2007 -- might be worth calling to be sure the rules haven't changed.

        1. Update from 2014: called Catoctin Mountain Orchard and was informed they do not allow dogs. Hartland Orchard is still dog-friendly (one of two I could find online - the other being Marker Miller Orchards). I'm going to Hartland Orchard, since it's a bit closer to DC.
