Hotel Grand Pacific Victoria

We are attending a conference in Victoria next week and would like to have your opinion on the food in the two restaurants at the Hotel Grand Pacific....ie "The Mark" and the "The Pacific Restaurant".
Thanks in advance.

OK, I see this is an old post but I still stand on my remarks.
The Mark is great place to eat should you be staying in Victoria.

I stayed there last year. From what I saw and tasted, I would pass on both. Over priced, blah food. Lots of good options in and around there that are miles ahead.

Oh, nuts. We stay at the Grand Pacific Hotel every trip to Victoria and eat in The Mark at least one night of the stay. The food has always been excellent, the service first class, and the wine pairing on The Mark. The wine pours are good too - no skimping like the place were were last week. As far as expensive goes, it's all relative. It's not The Keg.

Haven't tried either, bevo, but that area of town (James Bay) has a couple of great restos. I recommend the Superior for small plates and live music.

The Mark is the fine dining option, while The Pacific Restaurant offers more standard hotel fare. The Mark is quite expensive, and I have not dined there. Menu looks good, though.
