Occasion Brunch in Nassau County

Looking for a great place for a brunch with 25-ish people for a 50th Anniversary party.

They're not foodies, so probably fairly traditional american is best.

La Marmite has been thrown out as an option, but looking for a range to talk to... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    1. I seem to remember a decent brunch at the Garden City Hotel...but that was probably close to 20 years ago!

You may want to think about a price range too, and if you want a private room. Also, do you have a location in mind, because Nassau County is fairly large.
I remember going to the GC Hotel for their brunch too, which was great, but not sure if they do it any more. The only reason I think they may is because I had to meet with someone there a few Sundays ago and it looked like they were setting up a buffet, but it was in a lobby corridor, so not sure what was going on.
You may want to check with someplace like Carelton on the Park as well. We did a lunch there for a friend's 50th birthday not long ago. As they say, location, location, location. It's a special place.
La Marmite would give you a private room upstairs, but that could be a room upstairs, which may not be appropriate for those attending a 50th Anniversary because I don't believe there is an elevator. Didn't know they did brunch either.

The GC Hotel brunch is very pricey and in spite of the unlimited cracked crab & lobster, definately sub-par. Spend your money elsewhere!
