Made to order chinese dumplings in monterey park

I saw on Tv news while ago. There is a dumpling place which makes dumplings on order in front of you in Montrey park. Anybody know the name and where?

I'm not sure I understand the fascination with dumplings made "on order" ...

Just about every dumpling place in SGV makes the dumplings only after the customer orders them -- incl. Luscious Dumplings, 10053, Dumplings 101, Mandarin Deli, etc.

Most places do it in the kitchen, out of sight of the customer, because most Chinese folks aren't really all that fascinated by watching someone roll out dough, scoop up some pork filling, and then do a quick pleat of the wrapper. It's just not that interesting.

        Dumplings or xiao long bao?

You may have seen the open kitchen making xiao long bao at Din Tai Fung - If that's the name you saw, then it's in Arcadia, not Monterey Park, on Baldwin. They've been around for like, ever.

I've been thinking about checking out Mama Lu's dumpling house in MP, but Din Tai Fung also sounds amazing. I grew up eating HK style dim sum, but these dumplings look awesome... and I love eating my dumplings with vinegar and soy sauce (as they do here).
          Thanks for the suggestion!
