Tampa - The Lime

Has anyone been to The Lime on South Howard Ave in Tampa lately? What is your review? Good, bad, indifferent.

    As others have stated, it is certainly more of a nightlife place. With that said, I have lunch there on several occasions (mainly very hungover on Saturday mornings when the wait at next door Daily Eats was WAY too long). Try the Tampanian bowl- delicious and very filling for the price, I believe it was only $7.50 at lunch. I actually had enough for two decent sized meals.

      To JillyLeigh - your call to eat at The Lime vs Daily Eats was a good one. My understanding is that they are both owned by the same people and share some menu items. That said, will definately try their Tampanian bowl.

      I concur with the above comments. It is a good wine/beer bar. When it is not too crowded I really like drinking there. The simple cocktails are fine but I have not ordered anything too fancy. The food can be pretty good. I have had some things that I really liked and I work with a guy who loves lunching there. That being said, there are some strange things on the menu so if it sounds odd, don't order it.

        I agree, not bad food but def more of a bar scene. I had a party there and the finger foods were not bad at all. Also, I do not know if they still serve breakfast/brunch, but I ate their bfast one time and it was actually pretty tasty!

          i ate there once. seems like more of a drinking place. The food was decent, but nothing special. I'd like to hear other opinions, as i only dined there once.

            i think it's more bar later at night - the food is really good. their ribs are awesome. perfect. a little sweet, more tangy and smokey. and i really like the pork - it's all done on large rotisseries in the kitchen. definately worth a try -- but remember, the later you go, the more likely you are to get caught up in the bar scene.
