Le club chasse et pêche
Has anyone been recently? I'm planning on going next month with my wife for our wedding anniversary and haven't eaten there in about four years. Is it still as good as it was then? Any dishes or wines I shouldn't miss?
Thank you!

It's still as good. Their menu changes weekly, so it's hard to say what to try, but the foie gras risotto app is very good, and I never miss ordering the vegetables with panache. The scallop starter, when on the menu, is a favourite. Ditto for their sweetbreads.
As for wines, they have an outstanding selection, with many private imports - best bet is to go with their recommendations.›1 Reply-

Can't second that. I went to CCP five months ago with a business partner and actually ordered the foie gras risotto. Waaay oversalted. The main course was lamb something. The lamb turned out on the dry side. The selection of wines is great, but come on -- it's Montreal, there are very decent wines even at St-Hubert. Overall, it was not my worst dinner ever, but it would have easily been if I had to pay. Fortunately, it was my partner's turn.
