we are looking for a fun, casual place for dinner. where the food is good, but where the dessert will be amazing. westside preferably.

i'm one of the fans of Cynthia's, which is now open on Montana Ave. i think the Blackberry Cobbler (the name does no justice) is the way to go, but i know someone else that loves the chocolate tart.

Chaya - chocolate croissant bread pudding or the banana banana banana
    Primitivo - chai panna cotta
    Mastro's - butter cake
    Minotaur - bread pudding
Rock Sugar - banana custard cake

If you're willing to go farther east, lots of great stuff at Grace.

Cynthia's on the Corner has some a la carte options that will make it affordable in the sense that you can choose to have one fried chicken breast for 6 bucks and pair with a side.

Primitivo and Minotaure are tapas-style, so you can choose how much you want to eat and spend...

Rock Sugar has plates in the 20's range.

Mastro's is the most expensive of the list.
