Kansas State Fair
I'm going to the Kansas State fair for the first time this weekend and I was wondering if there was anything or vendor in particular that I should go to? I'm a bit particular about bbq as I smoke my own meat from time to time but if theres anyone there in particular whose good I would love to try it. Also is there anything else that's sort of a must have for the area that maybe I won't find elsewhere?

Not vendors, but in Hutchinson, try Roy's Hickory Pit BBQ and R-B Drive In. They are both old locally owned restaurants. Between the two of them, they have been in operation nearly 90 years.
Roys is only open until 3PM or until the meat runs out. They have great ribs.
R-B has great burgers and hand made French fries & onion rings.
The Salt Mine Museum is pretty interesting and the Kansas Cosmosphere is a must see for any aviation or space enthusiast. One of the best in the world.
