culver city restaurant rec?

looking for a 'nice' restaurant for this weekend in Culver City. Been to Fraiche, K-Zo, and Sushi Zo. I feel as if i've read of a few places i wanted to try but i can't remember what they were. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Akasha is great! So is Brunello, but it's more homey than 'nice'

i know htis is going to get me jeered, but first off i love the gelati at Ugo's. the full menu at the middle cafe/restaurant has some decen tdishes, and the wine bar is marvelous. But simply stated, a small gelato with Hazelnut, and cassata makes my day, every time i eat there.

I thought the burger was really good and not particularly expensive, but Mrs. O got the cheese/charcuterie plate, expecting to make a meal out of it (especially considering the price), and got a few slivers of admittedly good stuff and not quite enough bread to eat it with. When she asked for more bread they brought a whole 'nother platter. We raised simultaneous hell and wound up getting it comped...

I've had all good meals at FFS - but I didn't think any of them were really 'great', if that makes any sense.

It makes perfect sense. I've never had anything memorable from FFS nor anything terrible.

There have been generally good things written about Le Saint Amour - have not tried it yet. While not new we have had good meals at Brunello's.
