In austin next Tuesday and Wed

Business trip to Austin...would like local suggestions...I've done Salt Lick a couple of times...but like local, really local...bars and dives...breakfast lunch and dinner...Southwest and Mexican is OK...BBQ is always great....but where do the non-tourists go...

What part of town are you going to be in?

As far as local dive bars go, the ones that are in my rotation are Horseshoe Lounge, Casino El Camino, Ginny's Little Longhorn, Buddy's Place, Shangri-La.

For BBQ, I would recommend Mann's on Research near Ohlen. They are closed on Tuesdays though.
