Planning Las Vegas for Anniversary

Hi All --

Just trying to get some suggestions for Las Vegas, as we have not been there for a good 10-12 years. We're celebrating our first anniversary, staying at the Signature MGM Grand.

So far looking at recent posts (IanF, Seth Chadwick, thanks!), thinking of Anniversary at Joel Robuchon.

Suggestions for other meals? We love ethnic food, thinking of LOS for Thai, but what else? We live in SF so have tons of great food options locally, but what can we have in Las Vegas that we can't get here locally?

Thanks in advance -- we're travelling at the end of the month (September).

One thing Vegas has is the view...how about one of the restaurants that have fantastic Strip views? Perhaps Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris for the view of the Bellagio fountain and great food. Also Top of the World at the Stratosphere-food not as good as Mon Ami Gabi but the 360 degree view will make up for it.

Alize at the top of the Palms would be a much better choice than Mon Ami Gabi. Much more intimate and a better view.

Don't think you can go wrong with Joel Robuchon.

The view at MiX was excellent and I crafted a Ducasse-classic-only tasting menu when I was there that was sublime. http://uhockey.blogspot.com/2008/09/m...
