Lunch Near Hilton Scottsdale Resort

  • 2

My wife is entertaining a Tennessee visitor to Arizona later this month. The visitor and her husband are staying at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort, lunch is the meal and my wife will be driving up from Tucson. Any suggestions not too far from the hotel? Nothing too fancy and something that "speaks" Arizona or the Southwest would be ideal. Money not a big issue. Thanks.

  1. Well, practically right across the street is Humble Pie. Not exactly the most Southwestern menu, but if for some reason, time is a serious issue, that would be a good option.

Cowboy Ciao, which offers food with some Southwestern touches, is also pretty close (5-10-minute drive).

And just a little bit beyond Cowboy Ciao (as you drive south from the hotel) is The Mission, which is more Mexican/Pan-Latin in style.

And even farther south and east is Restaurant Huachinango. They used to have a location near my house, but when the economic slowdown hit, they folded. The branch near us was a hole-in-the-wall type place, but they served some interesting Pueblan and DF-style dishes not found in any of other Mexican restaurant I've visited in Phx. This would be in a distinctly different class than the other three places mentioned.

Thanks. We had a great dinner at Cowboy Ciao, and I didn't know they were open for lunch.
