Recording Prior Season Top Chef Shows - DVR Cutting Off 5 minutes before end of each show - is this happening to you?
I'm a new viewer to Top Chef - and loving it!
Bravo is showing prior seasons of Top Chef. I'm recording all of these on my Time Warner DVR. Almost every episode is cutting off at around 55, 56, or 57 minutes - exactly at the point where the winner is announced (well, right before the winner is announced).
Is anyone else having this problem? The work-around is I start the next episode, watch the recap, and find out who was eliminated from the previous episode - but it takes a bit of fun out of the show.
check your DVR settings - you can adjust the start & end time for any recording and it sounds like your end time is off for some reason. i don't know who your cable company is or which DVR you have, but for mine, i select the scheduled recording (or series if it's set that way), and then select "Record Show Options" or something like that. it should take you to a point where you can either adjust the actual time that it ends, or set it to stop recording a certain number of minutes after the program officially "ends." see if either of those options comes up, and if your setting is wrong. that really has to be what's causing the problem unless your local company is screwing up the braodcast time.

Original poster here - just wanted to add this is not happening to all episodes - occasionally, the whole episode will be there. On two occasions, only 1 minute of the program taped! This happened on one of the season finales. I went to web and found out who won. I'm recording the Las Vegas series and all shows are recording fine. There's just something about those earlier episodes.
