craving pho in west la

Where should I go for great pho around the West LA / Santa Monica / Culver City area?

Check out this post. There's already some comments on the Best Pho on the Westside (which is really pretty dismal actually). Whatever you do, do not go to Le Saigon on Santa Moncia Blvd. They have the most bland pho I have ever had (and this was before I had even had the good stuff from Little Saigon!)

I had the same craving today and I know there isn't any great (or even good) Pho in WLA; so I just drove over "The Hill" to Pho So 1, Sepulveda/Victory. I was very happy I did. Also happy -- Double Happiness -- to find a Sam Woo BBQ in the same shopping center.

Pho 99 on Wilshire is probably the best I've had on the Westside.

        Pho 99
11819 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025

I'll second Annapurna's Pho 99 on Wilshire. It's not phenomenal, but they do have a good variety of items on their menu and the broth is pretty tasty for being on our side of town. Pho So 1 has gone down in quality at both the Torrance and Sepulveda/Victory locations. I just went to their Torrance location yesterday and the broth was not hot and their egg rolls were chewy!! They used to be so good too....

Pho Show on Sepulveda near Culver Blvd. is always crowded and I enjoyed the veggie pho. Also, there's PhoReign on Sawtelle in the strip mall just north of Olympic which is also pretty good.
