Any suggestions for Pancakes?

Chosenone28 Sep 7, 2009 08:20 PM

Nothing makes me miss my grandmothers cooking more than a craving for pancakes. If you had to pick one place in the Boston area for pancakes, where would it be?

No question about it...actually the only question is which variety to order. All are fantastic.

4th? 5th? No one else even comes close to Deluxe Town Diner.

Cragie on Main makes the best pancakes by far. They are also about $3 for each pancake.

I sure wish I could find a Boston answer to the Original Pancake House 49er Flapjacks - thin, sweet, soft.

The King pancakes- two huge pancakes with banana and chocolate chip, with peanut butter between the two, topped with homemade whipped fream. SO GOOD.

Highland Kichen, though they are only available for Sunday brunch.

Red's in Salem has great pancakes. Not even a little bit fancy but man are they good.

Spot Cafe is awesome. Also The Restaurant in Woburn has good breakfast but it's cafeteria style.

Metropolis Cafe makes a good pancake. I had banana ones this weekend and they really hit the spot.

I love the blueberry pancakes at Mike's City Diner on Washington St in the South End. Delicious!
