Greetings Hounds - Going to be at the Airport Marriott 2 nights for a conference. NO CAR!! Looks like it's not walking distance to any decent restaurants. Any suggestions within short cab rides? Moderate price, good food. Adventurous eater but not a red meat eater. Adventurous drinker - like good beer and wine and well, just about everything else, too. TIA.

Ick! That is a tough one. There's definitely nothing within walking distance, and the airport area is pretty devoid of good local restaurants. Ellendale's on Donelson Pike might be a good option.

You're not THAT far from East Nashville and downtown ... I'd definitely spring for a cab. Eastland Cafe is my favorite moderately-priced East Nash place, but there are other good ones. Rumors East would be worth a look for wine. For downtownish, if you like beer take a look at Flying Saucer -- it's more casual but lordy the beer they gots there. LOL

What I'd do is skip the eat-in restaurant idea. Get a cab. Bring some ice from the hotel. Stop for some cold beer. Ice it. Continue to Prince's Hot Chicken. Order to go. Bring it all back to the hotel. Enjoy. Oh, and don't make it a late dinner. I don't live in Nashville, but I LOVE Prince's.
