<content>My hubsband and I are playing hooky on Tuesday and we are trying to think of a good place to have lunch before a 1pm movie at Rosedale. Thoughts?

We are open to anything in Mpls too, NE okay. Lunch buffets that we'd never get to otherwise would be good.

Don't over-think this, just throw out options. I'm just having the equivalent to writer's block :)

      <content>OK, without over-thinking:

= Nelson's Cheese (take your sandwiches to the fairgrounds to remember past glories).
= Byerly's/Roseville restaurant (my mom loves the place).
= Hoa Bien or Saigon Vietnamese restaurant (just down Lexington from Roseville).
= Emily's Lebanese Deli in NE Mpls (before they close for remodeling this winter).
= Birchwood Cafe (only a few freeway exits away from Roseville).
= Cupcake Bakery (even closer, freeway-exit-wise, to Roseville - and they have great soup).
= Bewiched Deli (not close, but I LOVE Bewitched).

<content>Oh shoot, sorry I missed this Mayr. Maverick's (Lex and Larp) or China Jen (Snelling near Cty B, or is it B1?) would have been my two picks. There also seems to be a new D'Amico in Roseville across from Target (again, I can never remember whether that's Cty B or B1...)

Where did you end up?

<content>Oops, I missed it, too. Guess I just can't keep up when the fair is going on. I'm still recovering... But now I feel like I need to explore Roseville cuisine. I haven't been to Maverick's for aeons!

That new D'Amico is across from Target. And I don't remember if it's B or B2 either.</content>

<content>Lovely shaved roast beef or beef brisket sandwiches. Passable fries. Good chocolate shakes. Deviate from those menu items at your own risk. :).

<content>ok-so right after posting this I thought I'd take him to Bankok Thai Deli, but then we started to cut it short on time before the movie so we ended up at Flame.

It wasn't too bad and it was quick.

As for all of the great options. I would like to try Mavericks someday, is it sit down?

We've been to Emily's and China Jen.

I have heard some good stuff about Birchwood too.

Appreciate the ideas! I should have asked earlier :)

<content>Mavericks is super casual. You order at the counter and then find yourself a table...

<content>Maverick's roast beef can be absolutely outstanding. Sadly, I was there last week and mine was pretty dry. :( Oh well, it won't stop me from going back.</content>
