While I appreciate Mr. Blount's particular pie tastes, I'm actually looking for fruit pies: blueberry, strawberry (with or without rhubarb), apple, blackberry, even peach ... If it's not too much to ask for a traditional, flaky crust. Served warm. Maybe even a scoop of ice cream. Anything north of TriBeCa, south of Columbus Circle, would be ideal. Only restaurant I know with decent pie (and they are pretty good) is Bubby's in Tribeca. For GREAT pie, you have to get someone on eastern LI to bring you a pie from Briermere Farms in RIverhead.
