Good quality maple syrup and olive oil in Vancouver?
I'm looking to buy real maple syrup and a good quality extra virgin olive oil at a good price. I jar moved here so am unfamiliar with the city. Where can I go? Thanks!

I just got some great Spanish extra virgin olive oil called Cazorliva from Santa Barbaras Market on commercial. It is the best I have tried in Vancouver for such a reasonable price. I love Spanish olive oil, I've been to Spain twice and until now, I haven't found anything that compares to this one.
I checked out the importers, but the website was under construction. So, I emailed them to see what other Spanish products they had and it looks like they have some fluer de sal, salts mixed with herbs and spices and other tasty ingredients. They are called "Olives and Things" and at the moment it looks like they just have a blog (http://olivesandthings.blogspot.com/) and a Facebook page, but they assured me that their website (www.olivesandthings.com) was coming soon..

Other than costco and superstore are there any other maple syrup suggestions? Maybe some local producers like there are in Ontario and Quebec, or is BC not a maple syrup producing province?

re: pinkskittles
Would this place be any help? It appears to be based in Quebec but they have a bricks and mortar store in Gastown...
Or maybe here (their corporate office is in Vancouver proper):

re: pinkskittles
I haven't looked for it personally, but I bet Edible BC will have BC Maple Syrup (which, BTW, is a fairly new phenomenon... http://www.vancouversun.com/life/Comi... )

The best prices/quality/selection I've found for Olive Oil are the two Greek grocery store/delis on W. Broadway
Minerva's Mediterranean Deli: 3207 W. Broadway 604-733-3954.
Parthenon Supermarket 3080 W. Broadway 604-244-1999.
