Solo dining suggestions in Seattle?

I'm traveling solo from San Francisco to Seattle Oct 2-5 and am curious about some good places to dine alone. Ideally, I'd like to sit at a bar in a restaurant. I'm open to all types of food.

I'm staying at the W Hotel and won't have a car, so somewhere relatively close would be nice, but I don't mind walking or venturing out a little further to a neighborhood gem.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions! :)

The Palace Kitchen, Cafe Campagne, Le Pichet are all great options in walking distance. Or, take the 10,11 or 43 bus to Capitol Hill and go to Quinn's or Cafe Presse.

Agree with all of the above. If you're willing to go slightly farther, the bar at Harvest Vine is always good. Serious Pie, while it doesn't have a bar, is communal seating so that may be an option. Also Union has a nice bar with yummy treats (especially at happy hour). There are a ton of good options for dining alone if you're willing to eat at the bar.

Wow, the photos on The Palace Kitchen website have me salivating already! Thanks so much for the suggestions. I can't wait to try them out.

More good bar food at Spur, Brasa and Txori in the Belltown zone.
