Rooftop Bar? Asheville Area

Was watching TV today and saw an ad for some sort of "festive beverage" and it was being served at a lively rooftop bar. Got me wondering if anything even remotely close to that exists in the Asheville area? I thought I had read there is something in the Flat Iron Building, but don't know anything about it. Also, Vue in Hendersonville is supposed to do one eventually, but they haven't yet.

And yes, we go to GPI a lot to sit on the terrace (and love that), but it's just not the same energy as what I am imagining a rooftop bar to have. :)

Any suggestions??

The Sky Club is the one in the Flat Iron Building. It's just the balconies, so the weather must be perfect for you to enjoy.

Asheville would be a great place for more rooftop bars, but in this economy I doubt anybody will take the risk.

The new building on Patton just across from Pritchard Park has a rooftop space with killer views and a large outdoor patio area that is just begging to be a bar, but so far no takers ..... we can only hope.

Asheville would be so perfect for a rooftop bar. Great sunsets. I suppose part of the problem is the unpredictable weather (vs. places like AZ, CA or HI).
