Red Lentil Vegan and Vegetarian open in Watertown

newhound Sep 6, 2009 04:03 AM

While picking up at Stella's Pizza in Watertown, I saw that Red Lentil is now open. Didn't have a chance to see a menu, but about half the tables were filled around 5:30 on a Saturday night.

Thanks for the tip.........didn't know this was in the works. Will definitely be going sometime soon and reporting back. The menu looks interesting (perhaps overly ambitious?). This is definitely a missing element from the Boston scene....

Thanks, newhound! The menu looks really promising. Since moving east a year ago, we really miss our favorite natural food/vegetarian place in Worcester. Nourish in Lexington is OK but hasn't really filled that void - hoping this place is the one!

My veggie son is really excited. Thanks for the post. The menu looks varied and tasty.

With Fordees right in that area, there are excellent veggie takeout options around.

Red Lentil is my new FAVORITE restaurant. I think it's a great place for vegetarians and carnivores alike. I had a fantastic salad of arugula, roasted beets and goat cheese, a ginger miso soup, and the absolute best - 'Gobi Manchurian' - an amazing rendition of the indian cauliflower dish, but this was fried with a crispy chick-pea crust, and sauteed with bell peppers and onions. I absolutely love this place. You MUST try it!!!
