Just walked into Viva Pops on this HOT day and got a DELICIOUS Mexican chocolate popsicle. If you are sweltering right now, this is the place to go. I've had their mango chili, mojito (mint and lime) and strawberry--all amazing. It's right across from Lestats--healthy and fresh and the owners are REALLY nice. I work around the corner from them. What a great addition to the 'hood.

My son & I visited last week & stayed with my sister in the neighborhood. We visited Viva Pops every day, no kidding. We tryied three new flavors daily & shared tastes. We got thru almost the whole menu. The best were ruby red grapefruit, nectarine basil & blood orange....yum!

You can also get Viva Pops at the Little Italy Farmers' Market on Saturdays. Very tasty stuff.

First time I tried the organic strawberry and the mojito pops was at the EarthDay fair in Balboa Park, that day was a scorcher too. It's great just to be able to go to Normal Heights now and enjoy all that icy goodness.
