Columbia - Bun Penny and Produce Galore still catering?

I am looking for a caterer for a casual get-together for about 50 people in Catonsville in late October. I had heard that both Bun Penny and Produce Galore may still be catering, but I have no idea if that's true; Internet searches are not turning anything up, so I thought I'd try here.

I'm also open to other ideas for inexpensive lunch catering, if anyone has them, and it doesn't have to be sandwiches - barbecue/pit beef or something like that would be fine too. If we stick with sandwiches and can't find Bun Penny or Produce we'll probably just stick with Taneytown here locally.

  1. Search for Bon Fresco Sandwich Bakery in Columbia. They're a new bakery and sandwich joint with terrific sandwiches, salads, etc. that range from creative to standard. They're also extremely responsive. They would be worth a drive from Catonsville. They off Snowden River on Oakland Mills.

    Prior posts about Bon Fresco:

    1. I don't know how you feel about it, but I had Red, Hot & Blue (Laurel) cater a casual dinner for about 40 people and folks are still talking about it. Nothing fancy, but we all really enjoyed it. I got a very high quality cake for dessert (it was a surprise birthday party) and good wine & beers, of course. We got pulled chicken and pork, beans and potato salad. I made some big bowls of green salad just to round it out.

      1. Bun Penny and Produce Galore both closed earlier this year.

        1. Jesse Wong's Asean Bistro in Columbia does a great job of catering. Reasonable and people go nuts for the food. I've done a party with them and it was fantastic. They were just rated in the top 100 restaurants in the DC area by the Washingtonian. Highly recommended.
