IN desparate need of a great meal SB or beyond?
Just got back from an extended working trip that started in January and just ended. I NEED an AWESOME MEAL. We live in Southbay so want to start locally and spread beyond - Have done all the local favs of Christines', Gina Lee, Musha, etc but what about Terrenea, or? Craving everything and anything.. So if nothing hits the spot in SB we will roam anywhere to satisfy the need. We are a fan of all food - I don't eat any land based animals and DH eats everything.
Looking forward to all of your suggestions.

I have heard some good reviews of Terrenea from local friends and family. Have you tried Izakaya Bincho? Love the food there!!! Black Bamboo in Palos Verdes is very nice, great rolls and specials.

the best array of inventive entree salads i've found is offered at 26 beach restaurant on washington in venice.
they also make great burgers (including a homemade veggie burger).
i'm not as wowed by their entrees, but another poster on the board, BurgerBoy disagrees with me about this as he loves several of their entree dishes.
they take reservations. burgers and entree salads are in the low to mid-teens. -
the best italien food in my neighborhood (playa del rey/marina del rey), can be found at antica pizzaria.
don't let the fact that this place is on the second floor of a shopping mall fool you. the food is taken seriously. the flour for the pizza is imported from italy. the style of pizza is neopolitan (extremely thin crust). the ingredients are top flight. -
