Really nice story about where Rick Bayless grew up and how his parents raised him.

One thing that I did NOT know is that his older brother is Skip Bayless! That is wild.

Never much of a Skip Bayless fan, but that connection is pretty cool. I guess Rick got all the niceness and Skip got the meanness.

<content>wow. a bloviating, obnoxious gasbag, and a soft-spoken, philanthropic craftsman. it always amazes when two people who share DNA and were raised in the same childhood home turn out to be polar opposites like that. if there wasn't an obvious physical resemblance i'd be inclined to wonder if one of them had left the hospital with the wrong parents.</content>

<content>Nice bio - I have an old Time-Life cookbook from the 80s on Mexican cuisine, and remember Rick being one of the contributors. I've always enjoyed his shows for their well-rounded approach to the innumerable foods and drinks in Mexican cuisine.

I guess I'm lucky that I neither care much for most sports anymore as well as not having cable or sat. I had no idea who this Skip-guy is but he is obviously living proof that every family has "one of those."</content>
