Egg Equivalent for Cupcakes

I am halving a recipe that calls for 3 large eggs. Could I use 2 small or 2 medium?

agreed - 2 small. the American Egg Board estimate for 3 large eggs is 4 small, so it works perfectly.

I'd go with 2 small eggs.
