Rocco's & Bistro 217 - Pawley's Island

Has anyone tried Rocco's or Bistro 217? I'm going to Pawley's for a week in September and would like to try a few new places. Also, who has the best fried seafood these days? I've heard Oliver's Lodge is good but I've never been. I don't want to waste a single night on a less than wonderful meal!

  1. Lee's Inlet Kitchen is the best for fried seafood....I like Capt Dave's Dockside and Olivers as well....but Lee's really stands out in fried seafood.

You must try Salt Creek Cafe...great food.
I like Chive Blossom in Pawley's ooohh and Franks.
    Roccos has a new location.

    1. I'd have to go with Capt. Dave's for fried seafood. Their fried flounder is exceptional, the marsh view is very nice and they don'tjamthetablestogether like some other popular places. Also the service is very good.

I ate at Rocco's about 18 months ago. The food was very good as was the service. Some say it's a little pricey but I thought the prices were about like Louis's (when he was open down there anyway). And as LaLa mentioned they have moved down the street a little to the south behind The Mayor's House, I believe. The address on their website has not been updated. The correst address is, 13089 Ocean Highway, PI.

I've eaten at Bistro 217 a couple times. Once for dinner and once for lunch. Dinner was very inconsistent. Lunch was better but much less complicated. I can't recommend it.
