Lunch at School - Liberty Village

  • 6

Just wondering if anybody has been there for lunch? I have read all the mixed reviews about brunch and must lean toward those in favour of the place - I really enjoy the food there and the atmosphere.

We are thinking of heading over for lunch this week. Any highlights? Things to stay away from? We always love a great burger or chicken item....

Thanks!

  1. Show up by 11:45 or wait in line. Both the burger and chicken are good in my books.

    1. If you decide to get the fried chicken make sure you ask for the gravy on the side and not dumped on your chicken, rendering it soggy. That really bummed me out.

I really do like the fried chicken there, and the pepper biscuits are yummy too...

Where is the fried chicken? I don't see it on their online menu.

I've had the fried chicken w/ gravy on a biscuit twice (once as take out) and both times our order wasn't soggy - The batter was noisily crunchy!

Like pinkprimp, below, and despite my sweet tooth, I don't find the pastries worth ordering.

The fried chicken and the pressed reuben type sandwich are both good choices.

        3. Despite the reviews here, I found the pastries to be pedestrian and boring (I tried the viva puff cupcake, root beer cake, black forest cookie, lemon scone, pepper biscuit).
