Tapas have you had a chance to go there yet?

Went there last week and don't think I'll go back. I ordered the Linguini w/White Clam Sauce.. The clams themselves tasted great and they gave a whole dozen with the meal.. but as for the "clam sauce" I didn't see many little bits of clam pieces at all. Also..s something about the sauce just wasn't sitting well with my taste buds (I am an extremely picky eater though).

Also - not sure if it's cause we weren't dressed to the 9s (myself in a cardigan sweater and nice jeans and my father in a tshirt and jeans) but the service was horrible. It was fine when we were the only ones dining in there (around 5pm on a Monday) but once 2 other parties of 2 came in our waitress pretty much forgot about us.. After we were done eating our meal (with empty plates & beverage glasses in front of us) we must've sat there for a good 15 minutes before she came back to check on us.

Obviously.. I'm a minority though since everyone on CH seems to be a fan! ;-)

Not sure of any local place that would look askance at patrons not "dressed to the 9s" (with the possible exception of Nicholas). Trends in general and the economy specifically make this a bad idea for any place wanting to stay in business. Even Fromagerie (Which used to actually have "Rube Jackets" for those who forgot theirs) is fine with upscale casual now...

Hi sorry to hear about your experience at Christies.....we haven't had a chance to try it as of yet I still have the gift cards.........just couldn't find the time to get there .....I will report back when I do. I appreciate your review.

We go often... food is consistant. It's not really kid friendly. Great for a night out as a couple.

I've also dined there a couple of times. Fine service and food. It was a couple of years ago, and if they're still in business, all of those 'right things' that they were doing are probably still in place.

I haven't been there in a couple years, but the couple times I have gone, the food and service were excellent.

Been there twice- good both times. Not always on the menu but ASK for the rock shrimp app and you will not be disappointed. Their sauces were fresh and tasty. Go and enjoy

Decent local Italian fare. I agree, rock shrimp app is very good. Pleasant atmosphere.
