Any recommendations for Steelhead Diner?

We're having dinner at Steelhead Diner this weekend. Any specific menu items that we should look for? Also, how touristy is this place? I know the usual rule of avoiding places around water, but it seems that this rule doesn't necessarily apply in Seattle.

I love Steelhead. Don't know if you already ate there but Kevin is the nicest chef I've ever met. Their blue plate special is always awesome. Kinda the look what we found at the market this week. Last week I had the best & freshest Sardine I've ever had. They were amazing. Never had a bad meal there.

Joben, I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order. I love the chicken spring rolls and the buttermilk chicken sandwich. Not to be missed are the fried cheese curds and the chicken and andouille sausage gumbo. Anything at this charming bistro is delicious!

Steelhead Diner is GREAT! Very creative menu and not too pricey. The Brutus salad is a must! It's a spin on the classic Ceasar.

I like Steelhead- I had a very flavorful seasonal omelet there while sitting at the bar on a sunny Sunday. They get much of their ingredients from the market and celebrate WA and PNW food. One piece of advice- a few servers there will push the appetizer crab cake as amazing- don't fall into this trap.

The flavors are clean and fresh at Steelhead- enjoy!

Steelhead's great. There are some tourists, but it's not a "touristy" place at all.

I really like the fried chicken. Fish preparations are always good. Razor clam chowder is outstanding.

Oh--the black velvet is a contender for best dessert in town. Don't miss it.
