Where is the best source for foie gras in the Boston area?

    1. I buy it at Savenor's. They often have small portions for sale, as well as offering an entire lobe (which is very 'spensive!!).

I buy it at at Savenor's. They offer it in smaller portions as well as whole lobes. Usually A or B Grade

Specialty Foods in Newmarket is great if you're buying in larger quantity; whole lobes...also A or B.

      2. I've seen some beautiful whole lobes at the Butcher Shop on Tremont. I'm sure you pay a premium but their standards are high. I'd call in advance to make sure it's in stock.

        1. Call them to check, but I would be surprised if Formaggio in Cambridge or the South End couldn't help you. Everything they sell is top notch quality.
