Sofra Bakery and Cafe in Cambridge?

mcel215 Sep 2, 2009 04:57 PM

I posted that I am headed for Cambridge on Sunday and was up in the air about lunch.

I left the option of where to eat, and my friend wants to try Sofra.

I did a search and didn't find anything. I am not a vegetarian, but like most things.

What's good there? Anyone been?

Thanks guys.

Also save room for a baked good! The molasses cookies are delicious and perfectly spiced.

anything lamb is great. also, the sausage flatbread. in general, the food is great....a little overpriced, but not so much when you consider that the cost of a good sandwich in Harvard Square is past $7. the chef takes great pride in her prep and ingredients. she (ana , the chef) is really trying.

Just search on the word Sofra. There are plenty of references to it.

Thanks. I finally found the mixed reviews about the place.

I guess I'll get lamb schawma. It wouldn't be a place I would choose, but I gave my friend the option.

Really? Mixed reviews? It is a really great place, I thought. The flatbread is very good; the mezze sampler is awesome, as are the desserts. They have a very nice space, inside and out. I felt like I was in LA sitting on the terrace on a sunny day.

Search Sofra. It's all over the place on this board.

I love it...others don't. lots of veg options, try anything with lamb. not comfortable seating.

Thanks, I did search. I don't think this site's search engine is the best.
            I'll try again.
