Sofra Bakery and Cafe in Cambridge?

  • 9

I posted that I am headed for Cambridge on Sunday and was up in the air about lunch.

I left the option of where to eat, and my friend wants to try Sofra.

I did a search and didn't find anything. I am not a vegetarian, but like most things.

What's good there? Anyone been?

Thanks guys.

  1. Search Sofra. It's all over the place on this board.

I love it...others don't. lots of veg options, try anything with lamb. not comfortable seating.

Thanks, I did search. I don't think this site's search engine is the best.
      I'll try again.

    2. Just search on the word Sofra. There are plenty of references to it.

Thanks. I finally found the mixed reviews about the place.

I guess I'll get lamb schawma. It wouldn't be a place I would choose, but I gave my friend the option.

Really? Mixed reviews? It is a really great place, I thought. The flatbread is very good; the mezze sampler is awesome, as are the desserts. They have a very nice space, inside and out. I felt like I was in LA sitting on the terrace on a sunny day.

Thanks, didn't know they have a terrace.

      2. anything lamb is great. also, the sausage flatbread. in general, the food is great....a little overpriced, but not so much when you consider that the cost of a good sandwich in Harvard Square is past $7. the chef takes great pride in her prep and ingredients. she (ana , the chef) is really trying.

        1. Also save room for a baked good! The molasses cookies are delicious and perfectly spiced.
