Las Vegas restaurant advice needed

teamej Sep 2, 2009 01:02 PM

We're Vegas regulars, there a few times a year. Usually go to the same handful of restaurants (Nobu, Prime, Il Mulino) and are looking for something new this time. Great food and fun atmosphere (like Nobu) are both very important. Any recommendations? Nothing formal, price not an object. TIA.

Perhaps MIX? I've been there for drinks and really like the atmosphere, but can't attest to the food.

If you are up for getting off the strip, check out Town Square. Its south strip past mandalay bay, same side of the street. There is a cool italian restaurant (good food), yard house and a pretty cool martini bar with some apps. So you can eat and then hit the bars for some "locals" atmosphere.

As a L.V. local, Nine Fine Irishmen at New York New York is one of my faves. We take all our out-of-town guests ther and always have a great time. The food is excellent and they have (free) live entertainment weekends and most evenings. Hubert Keller's Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay has been one of my regular destinations lately. The Kobe beef burger and sweet potato fries are very, very fine. Both are casual and fun. (Reviews for both with menus are here http://lasvegasfoodadventures.wordpre...)

Thanks for the recommendations, everyone. Not sure yet where we'll end up.
