Hi. I'm a north shore guy who has to visit the south shore plaza. Is there a good chinese market close by? I want to avoid parking in Chinatown.

Kan Man 219 Quincy Ave, Quincy Ma.

4 miles.........7 minutes. VERY adequate selection of both fresh produce and non perishables. They also run the "Asian Market Place" located in the same plaza directly across from one another's entrance (divided by asian herbal emporiums-travel agencys-banks) which sells durables like cook wear, home goods, fuzzy logic electronic rice steamers, "bamboo dumpling steamers"....$2.98 for 2 with 1 lid !!, bento boxes, clocks, metal scrubbies, iron woks, castrol 5W-40, immitation authentic ming vases, decent quality knives including Chinese clever looking weapons hidden on back wall, beach balls, hello kitty back packs ....etc.............worth checking out.

Yes, very clean tasting, unlike anything I buy at Super88...

Personally, I think Kam Man is the best asian market in the Boston area.
