Low key dinner ideas in Boston

I am looking for some recommendations for a low key dinner in Boston. I would like a good neighborhood place in moderate price range with some excellent cocktails. (~25.00 entree range)
We will visit Clio one evening so I want to avoid fancy for this particular recommendation. Travel is not an issue - we will cab it to the right place from Omni Parkerhouse. Italian would be terrific but any suggestions are greatly appeciated.

Coda, Hungry Mother, Green Street, Tupelo?

Though the latter three are in Cambridge and not Italian.

Grotto (haven't been for years, so maybe I'm all wrong now)? It's kind of wintry and I don't know about cocktails, but otherwise fits the bill.

Marliave is right around the corner from where you're staying. They have a nice patio, a great cocktail list and casual America/Old Timey entrees, with a pasta section and some Italian options.

Toscano on Charles St for Italian, would fit the bill. Very welcoming atmosphere, relaxing and good food. Comfortable place to linger. Another option as far as a neighborhood place, although not italian would be 75 Chestnut. Their mussels in tomato broth with chorizo is quite good and they have some nice pasta dishes.

How about Trattoria Toscano (sp.?) on Jersey St. by Fenway? Relative to Clio, certainly nice and low key.

Rocca in the south end might work. My first thought was Union until you said Italian. Depends what nite of the week as to how low key they are tho.
