I know there are lots of Lebanese type restaurants around SE Michigan, but does anyone know a place that serves Egyptian food such as koshari, fateer, molokheyya etc?

I think he's a Chaldean Iraqi. I'm stumped on the Egyptian food.

there's an opportunity, someone needs to open an Egyptian place!
there's a Syrian restaurant on Plymouth Rd

          but that's not the same.
maybe ask the Egyptian student group?

Also MSU recently published "Copts in Michigan" about the small Egyptian Copt community here, that might list churches or community centers - they sometimes have wonderful food events.

In case anyone else is interested, I have found that La Marsa serves Koshary. I see it on their menu on their web site.
