Any feedback I can get on either of these restuarants would be much appreciated.

Heading to OBX this weekend and want to make sure we get a great meal!

Thanks all

I've never been to either one, but my opinion is that I wouldn't go to the outer banks and eat at a steakhouse, and from looking at Argyles website, I wouldn't go near it. If you do a search on here, you'll find lots of suggestions for better places, I think.

I checked out the Argyle site and I think Blue Point up in Duck would be a better choice. Isn't Prime Only a chain?

Prime Only has two locations. One in OBX, and one in Raleigh. More than one restaurant, but not exactly a "chain".

Where are you staying? We were there recently. Blue Point in Duck is excellent, as is Kill Devil Grill or Blue Moon Beach Grill if you are staying near Nags Head/Kill Devil Hills/Kitty Hawk.

As a local, I can't recommend either Prime Only or Argyles. The Blue Point or Ocean Boulevard would get my vote with preference to The Blue Point.

The Blue Point does have a good reputation, but it sucks to drive to Duck. The traffic in that direction is the worst. Try the Black Pelican, and I hear that Food Dudes is good.

the only time traffic is truly bad in Duck is on Saturday and Sunday. Evenings it ususally isn't too bad. The traffic on the bypass is typically much worse that time of day. I drive KDH to Corolla every day for work, so I know whereof I speak. Regardless, the Blue Point is well worth the trip!
