Needless to say,once they caught the hare, they would tear it to pieces. This "sport" is now illegal in my country. What the organisers of this particular event have tried to do (unsuccessfully, I'm pleased to say) is to circumvent the law by having the dogs muzzled. It remains illegal. Dickson-Wright and Sir Mark Prescott pleaded guilty but claimed they did not know they were attending an illegal event. As such, their "punishmnet" was at the lowest level the law permits what we call an "absolute discharge" - no fine or anything.
