Jet-lag lunch near Adlon

Thanks to all for great tips on dinners and lunches.
Trying to come up with an easy place for lunch our first day after taking the red-eye.
Staying at the Adlon and from other posts, Einstein cafe looked like it might fit the bill -- very close and comfortable to sit. (travelling with older parents)
I looked at the menu and it looked like the same menu for lunch and dinner, which I took to be slightly bigger meal than we need for lunch and prices were pretty high for lunch.

Any alternative recs for lunch near the Adlon (for this particular meal, I'd prefer to walk and not very far). Sit down/waitress service. German food is preferred.

  1. Mâ Tim Raue, on the back side of the Adlon, offers an amazing lunch for 39 Euro. It's very Chinese-influenced food, tho, so may not fit your German food bill...

Thanks L.! Ma looks great and we may hit it for another meal. Looking for something almost bistro like for this one.

Maybe Dressler, then. I've only had coffee at Einstein, so I can't say much about the quality of the food. If Gendarmenmarkt isn't too far, Lutter & Wegner always gets rave reviews. Stay clear of Borchardt's.

Funny! Was already traveling so didn't see this last post and guess where we ended up. Borchardt's. Based on walking by and being tired of walking. It wasn't too crowded when we got there and we just grabbed some salads, so it was fine. (enjoyed dinners at the Lutter & Wegner in C-burg, Alpenstueck, Gugelhof and Brecht's. great lunch at Anna Blume, and some great drinks/bartenders at shochu.)
