Dinner between Downtown and BH
Im racking my brain trying to think of a casual place for a nice dinner between downtown LA and BH. I know that my best option is Korean and i have a bunch of those places in mind, but is there anything else that im missing? Cuisine doesnt matter as long as its good.

doesnt really matter. I dont want anything too formal (if there is such a thing in LA) because im dressed casually and not going home...but thats really my only parameter.

In that case, you have lots and lots of options. Some of the ones that come to mind are:
Pane e Vino on Beverly has a lovely outdoor patio and does a mean ribeye steak.
Tere's on Melrose, is a small little family run Mexican joint in a strip mall, but the food is very good. Also, Mario's Peruvian, right down the street, is (in my opinion) one of LA's culinary gems. Really good saltados.
BLD on Beverly can be nice for a casual dinner. Good short ribs.
Pacific Dining Car is pricey, but they make a mean sirloin steak. (Also, the steak and eggs off their breakfast menu, which they serve all day if you ask, is very good, and a reasonably good value.)
Grace, on 3rd, is excellent, but might be insufficiently casual for you. Same thing with Jar on Beverly.
Noshi Sushi, on Beverly, has very good, moderately priced sushi, but can get crowded. (Cash only.)
Soot Bul Jeep on 8th is a perennial favorite, particularly if you don't mind smelling like wood smoke after dining.
Lastly, to round out the list, you could do worse than Angeli Caffe, on Melrose, or even Pinks on La Brea, if you're in the right frame of mind.
And really, this just scratches the surface. Let us know where you end up.
