Decent fish supplier in Markham?

Hi all,

So I left the downtown core and moved to Markham Village (no, really....it was a good move! ;) ).

One thing I miss is being able to go out and buy sashimi-grade fish to make sushi and sashimi at home. Does anyone know of a decent fish market in Markham? I've tried a couple of the Chinese supermarkets with not much luck.

I did try J-Town a wile back but found the selection somewhat limited and the prices high.

A little west of Markham Village but I go to the Korean Supermarket on Yonge. Just come west on Steeles. I find the prices excellent for all kinds of sashimi including red tuna - they have fresh and frozen.

For that quality of fish the prices will be high, you get what you pay for. An alternative to j-town is Taro fish, they used to occupy the j-town stall but have moved more south to North York.

i second taro, they have very good quality products and the price isn't entirely unreasonable, you do get what you pay for.
