Karen, the Lawrenceville Inn has had its ups and downs during the last few years. There have been several owners (and several chefs) so any information from before February of this year should be ignored.

Quite by chance, the New York Times reviewed the Inn just last weekend. Here's what they had to say:

It just never ends for this once great restaurant. It would be interesting to know the back story but the bottom line is that the Lawrenceville Inn is no more (at least for now!).

I really hope someone out there is taking notes so that the soap opera that is the Lawrenceville Inn can be written! Now Dennis Foy and his wife are going to give it a shot. I hope the place lasts long enough that I can go.

A positive sign is that the chef comes from Restaurant Nicholas.

I don't think Executive Sous Chef is Michael Metzner, who comes from Restaurant Nicholas is "the chef"; I think "the chef" is Dennis Foy! Don't know the truth of the following statement because I wasn't there, but I've been told by a reliable friend of mine that the downstairs dining rooms were sold out this past weekend when it opened. I hope they make a go of it. We loved their place in Pt. Pleasant.

Personally, I though the last two chefs were amazing! Gaetano and Micah were not only talented but created an atmosphere that was welcoming and homey! Their menu was different and delicious. Where ever you are...best of luck!
