Good restaurants in Cuneo

My family and I will be visiting Cuneo for a wedding next summer. Any recs on good restaurants. Also, if you know of good hotels, please advise. Thanks for the help. Amy

Didn't you post this on one of the travel forums some time ago?

The best restaurant in both my books in Cuneo is called Osterie della Chiocciola at Via Fossano

I'll second that recommendation. I think in general the standards are pretty high in Cuneo. What is the name of the pasticceria on the corner of that big main piazza where they make the unbelievable cuneesi? I realize that's not much of a description, but if you know it, it's sufficient and if you don't it doesn’t matter. :-)

The pasticceria on Piazza Galimberti is called Arione. It invented cuneesi al rhum.

That's it! Thanks. Summer isn't the best time for cuneesi, but I hope the wedding party will taste them anyway. For those who don't know them: death by chocolate, happy death.

Thanks for the info. I'm glad you told what cunessi is - death by chocolate sounds wonderful. Amy
