looking for interesting ethnic dining in rockland/bergen

I will be visiting Rockland (from northern California) in a few weeks and am I'm looking for a more adventurous dining experience after I get my fill of bagels and pizza slices. Preferably some kind of cuisine that's hard to find on the west coast. Advice? Recomendations?

You say you're coming from No. Cal? If you have access to all the great food in SF and the general Bay Area, then I don't know that you will find anything in Rockland and Bergen that will be different or better that what you have out your way. The only thing I can think of is Salvadorean food....like pupusas, but I don't even know of any "good" places anymore. I've heard people talk about La Pupusa Magica in Spring Valley on Rt. 59.
    Maybe other CHrs can help....

Sorry I can't help with an ethnic recommendation.....however, I suggest you make sure you get a Taylor Ham breakfast sandwich on a hard roll.....with either egg or American cheese...or both with the Taylor Ham.
